Some of the players Marlina has either recorded or performed with: Jules Broussard, Danny Armstrong, Mel Martin, Richie Cole, Junius Simmons, Jeff Chambers, Eddie Marshall, Donald "Duck" Bailey, Si Perkoff, Eddie Henderson, Ylonda Nichols, Juanita Ellington, and Dave Black, drummer for Duke Ellington.
All songs on new cd "My Love Waits There" were recorded with an Eastman El Rey Deluxe. Super lightweight and hollow guitar with no feedback. I am a proud endorser of EASTMAN GUITARS.
I am also an endorser of LunchBox amplifiers by ZT. Check them out for great, full sound at a light weight and price.
Giving back to the community is important to Marlina. "For almost twenty years, I have been taking my music into hospitals, prisons and other institutions. I am the Founder and Project Director of JAZZHEIMER'S - a non-profit organization that brings jazz musicians to Alzheimer's patients in hospitals and free lunch programs for Seniors and the disabled in and around the Western Addition of San Francisco. It's a win-win situation for patients as well as the musicians." See www.jazzheimers.org. To find out how you can donate tax free to Jazzheimers, call 415-335-8599. Bass players especially needed to donate time.
